SQL Server DBA job question. Should I got for Oracle

Question about SQL Server 2005?
If I spend 28 hours per week to study SQL server 2005 with
a lab to replicate the real time & hand on exercises etc..
After 6 months of study & practice(lab) that will be close to 672 hours. Can I apply for a job & have change to get an entry level position as DBA assistant? Should I go for Oracle or SQL Server 2005? Thanks for your feedbacks

If you know the basics of SQL, sql server programming won't take to long. As mentioned above, 6 months is a enough time to be a decent programmer. Maybe even 3 months of practice.

Is there any software for importing CSV or text files into SQL Server

Can anyone recommend any utilities for importing CSV or fixed width text file into SQL Server. I'm looking for something that makes a better job of it than Enterprise Manager or Management Studio. I've tried Import Wizard from Beside Software but found it a bit clunky, and wonder if there's anything better available.

But now a lot of people are advising me to learn linux & Msql as well. My goal is 1 year of learning before I can apply. Can I really learn both? Windows(SQl Server Win03) and Some linux & Mysql? I feel it might be too much for me. I have 10 year of PC exp[erience as hobby but never got a degree or cert. I am 46 . Thx.
