Interview Question :: What version of ASP.Net to learn


Looking at this page: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mc...

Which should I be learning 1.1 or 2.0? What's the difference between these?

I plan on learning ASP.Net and Visual Basic .net & SQL Server to upgrade my regular ASP & MSAccess knowledge.

Am I looking at the right certification that employers might seek, and which would be best 1.1 or 2.0?

Any info about web learning courses versus instructor led?


Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Definitely ASP.NET 2.0. It is not only much better than 1.0 and 1.1. You can also use Express version of Visual Studio 2005 to design and programming. Microsoft just made all the express versions free. Go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/expres... to download the free Visual Web Developer 2005 and go to http://asp.net for more information on ASP.NET 2.0.
