Hi, My 3 year old daughter started going to preschool last week, but her dad's schedule shift around where he can't take her to school. The school is far away, and I don't have a way to take her myself.
I would still like for her to get an education, so I decided I can homeschool her myself.
I would like to know, what are good procedures and good methods of going about this?
We have a store for teachers which I am going to go get some things. What are good materials to use? What should I buy? What all should I be teaching her? How can I get our homeschooling credited? And about how many hours a day should I be putting in with her?

My husband and I are planning to get a ferret in the next couple of weeks and I don't know if we'll get one that has already had both procedures done or if we'll get a baby from the pet store. I just need to know what the cost would be and what age can you have both procedures done. Thank you.

My green iPod Nano (not the newest edition) will not turn on. I've been through all the procedures on the website under Support and it still won't turn on.
It's under warranty until December 5th and I was wondering, do I take it to the Apple Store?
Will they fix it or just give me a whole new one?

An angry customer is returning a small appliance from Housewares-she claims she never took it out of the box. She has no receipt. She angrily blames you, the Store manager and JCPenney for the problem. You are most likely to
1 Attribute the issue to the manufacturer and sympathize with her
2 Immediately call the Store manager to report the incident
3 Take the initiative to promptly order her a new appliance at no charge
4 Check on procedures for processing returns
5 Apologize and offer her the full cash value of the appliance

As you have probably heard – there is a major pet food recall taking place. Many leading pet foods have been affected and several pets have died as featured in this recent news article http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17650075/fro...
Find your pets food and treats and see if wheat, corn, or by-products are listed in the ingredients. If so, discard the products immediately.
Dog foods currently being recalled:
America's Choice; Preferred Pets; Authority; Award; Best Choice; Big Bet; Big Red; Bloom; Bruiser; Cadillac; Companion; Demoulas Market Basket; Fine Feline Cat; Shep Dog; Food Lion; Giant Companion; Great Choice; Hannaford; Hill Country Fare; Hy-Vee; Key Food; Laura Lynn; Loving Meals; Main Choice; Mixables; Nutriplan; Nutro Max; Nutro Natural Choice; Nutro; Ol'Roy; Paws; Pet Essentials; Pet Pride; President's Choice; Price Chopper; Priority; Publix; Roche Bros; Save-A-Lot; Schnucks; Springsfield Pride; Sprout; Stater Bros; Total Pet; My True Friend; Western Family; White Rose; Winn Dixie and Your Pet.
Did you know that the FDA does not regulate the pet food industry?
Did you also know that most commercial pet foods are made from less than human quality ingredients.
Did you know that most pet foods bought in the store have been sitting around for as long as 18 months before you buy it?
Did you know that dogs and cats have the genetic potential to live 20 - 25 years but we are robbing those years from their lives with cheap pet foods.
Here are just a few of the procedures that we follow to provide your pet with a safe and nutritious product.
I have found a great alternative to all the brands carried in all the local stores. I have recently switched my dog over to this food and have seen a great improvement the last month or so. The food is Life’s Abundance.
This is some of the information I can provide for the food. You can read and hear more about it at http://www.HealthyPetFoodBiz.com
All the products are manufactured in a USDA facility.
All of the ingredients are individually inspected for human quality and carry the APHIS certification (a European standard for human quality ingredients)
Every vendor must supply an 'assurance statement' with each shipment. This statement must provide nutritional quality of ingredient provided AND must state it is free from any mold, bacteria, and so forth.
Dr. Jane has the ingredients tested AGAIN before manufacturing to make sure the quality is as stated AND it meets her standards
The product is tested 3 times during the manufacturing process - to again assure everything is 'as it should be'.
The product is tested again after manufacturing and again when it arrives at the warehouse.
One bag of food is kept at the warehouse - from each batch - to test in case a Customer has a problem or concern with the product. Each 'one bag' from each batch is kept for 1 full year.
The products are shipped directly from HealthyPetNet's warehouse to the Customer - no middleman warehousing (concerns of proper storage and pest control).

At the present time the Ballarat Dry Cleaning Company has no formal induction or training policies or
procedures. The owner, Jennifer Carter, believes this is one reason why the standards to which she and her
father, Jack would like employees to adhere are generally not maintained.
The Carters would prefer that certain practices and procedures are used when dealing with customers at the
front counter. For example, all customers should be greeted with what Jack calls a ‘big hello’. Garments they drop off should immediately be inspected for any damage or unusual stains so these can be brought to the customer’s attention, lest the customer erroneously blame the store when picking up the garmet. The garmets should then be placed immediately in a nylon sack to separate then from other customers’ garmets. The ticket should be carefully written up, with the customer’s name and telephone number and the date precisely and clearly noted on all copies. The counterperson is also supposed to take the opportunity to try and sell the customer additional services such as waterproofing, or simply notify the customer that: ‘Now that people are doing their spring cleaning, we’re having a special on curtain cleaning all this month.’ Finally, as the customer leaves, the counterperson is supposed to make a courteous comment like ‘Enjoy your day’ or ‘Drive safely’. Each of the other jobs in the stores?pressing, cleaning and spotting, periodically maintaining the coin laundry equipment, and so forth?similarly include certain steps, procedures and, most important, standards that the Carters would prefer to see upheld.
The company has also had other problems, Jennifer feels, because of a lack of adequate employee training and induction. For example, two new employees became very upset last month when they discovered that they were not paid at the end of the week, on Friday, but on the following Tuesday (as are all employees). The Carters use the extra two days in part to give them time to obtain everyone’s hours and compute their pay. The other reason they do it, according to Jack, is that ‘Frankly, when we stay a few days behind in paying employees it helps to ensure that they at least give us a few days’ notice before quitting on us. While we are certainly obliged to pay them anything they earn, we find that psychologically they seem to be less likely to just walk out on us Friday evening and not show up Monday morning if they still haven’t got their pay from the previous week. This way they at least give us a few days’ notice so we can find a replacement.’
Other matters that could be covered during an induction, says Jennifer, include company policy regarding paid holidays, lateness and absences, and general matters like the maintenance of a clean and safe work area, personal appearance and cleanliness, time sheets, personal telephone calls and mail, company policy on substance abuse, and eating or smoking on the job. Jennifer believes that implementing induction programs would help to ensure that employees know how to do their jobs the right way. And she and her father feel that it is only when employees understand the right way to do their jobs that there is any hope their jobs will be done the way the Carters want them to be done.
1. Specifically, what should the Carters cover in their new employee induction program and how should
they covey this information?
????In an HRM course that Jennifer took, the textbook suggested using a task analysis record form to
identify the tasks performed by an employee. Should they use a form like that for the counterperson’s
job, and if so, what would the filled-in form look like?
???Which specific training techniques should Jennifer use to train her pressers, her cleaner-spotters, her
manager and her counterpeople, and why?

I live in CA and my friend had a problem with the company he worked for. He interviewed for and was offered an asst manager position. He was told verbally that he would receive a raise from $9 to $12 when he transferred stores (they did not put it in writing). He started at the new store and was handed a 150 page spiral book with all the procedures and told to come back the next day knowing the first 5 chapters. He did this for an entire week (they would not give him time on the clock to read over the manual). When he got his first check at the new store, he noticed that his raise had not kicked in. He asked his manager who told him that the paperwork probably had not reached the corporate office in another state and would kick in on the next paycheck. This continued for 3 paychecks & he was finally told by the manager that he had to finish the tests related to the manual, which he had never been given. He finally finished these and his manager held onto them for 6 weeks before

My boyfriend was telling me (ok, ranting to me), about this argument he had with his boss last night. My bf is the manager in charge of the business he works for, and the boss of which I speak is the district manager. The boss was trying to tell bf that he needs to follow the corporate procedures, and bf (who is a definite alpha male type), thinks the corporate procedures are dumb, and reminded the boss that he has brought that particular stores sales up seventeen percent, and that that's all that should matter. The argument consisted of bf putting his finger in the boss's face and being pretty belligerent, and the boss threatening bf's job, and bf telling him he can have the keys, he doesn't care. He's going to do things the way he wants to do things, and as long as the store is making money, the boss can just kiss his a** and shut the f*** up. Yes, he did use those words. That's pretty much the language of the entire convo on bf's end. I thought, when I heard about this, even hearing it from bf's perspective, that bf should definitely have handled that differently, and that he would probably be fired tomorrow (which is now today, Teusday), but I tried to be supportive, without actually telling bf that I thought he was right, because I really didn't, at least not the way he handled it. Yes, he was right that corporations sometimes have rules that feel stupid to those of us actually in the store day in and day out, and that the people who are actually in the store should be able to judge certain things themselves according to the individual situation. I know how frustrating burocracy can be, I've had to deal with it, too. However, I believe we still have to show our boss some level of respect and follow the rules. After all, being employed is always a good thing. So, today bf tells me that he was told he's suspended, and he's not sure if that's going to turn into him being fired. He says he's not just going to sit around and wait for his boss to call him, he's going to start looking for a new job. Is it best in this situation for me to keep being supportive, and on his side, or should I give it to him streight that he messed up and should learn to play ball a little if he wants to have a job? Because, really, anywhere else he goes is going to have the exact same issues, and he's still going to have a boss that he's going to have to listen to.

Okay, below are all the AAFCO dog food ratings...
(Grade A) "Animal feeding tests using AAFCO procedures substantiate that ABC Dog (Cat) Food provides complete and balanced nutrition for (appropriate life stage)."
(Grade B) "ABC Dog (Cat) Food provides complete and balanced nutrition for (appropriate life stage) and is comparable in nutritional adequacy to a product which has been substantiated using AAFCO feeding tests."
(Grade C) "ABC Dog (Cat) Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog (Cat) Food Nutrient Profiles for (appropriate life stage)."
Could anyone tell me any Grade B and Grade A dog foods? I have looked at a lot of dog food in pet stores and they all seem to have the Grade C rating. Thanks.

defamation of charachter, wrongfull termination, lack of any consideration towards notices, changes in work hours, codes of conduct towards employees, lack of following it's own company procedures, denied time off towards recent family medical emergency. "I had to use my vacation time to bury my father after a year long fight with lung cancer"
Not only do I feel regret, but a huge amont of doubt in life. What kind of employer would willingly and purposly treat there employees (reason why buisnes can profit) with such malace and discrimination. It feels like I've been raped or violated beyond company borders. I have no reasons or explinations to offer to fellow industry associates, businesses, stores, and even future employers.
I lost a good job, and don't know why. They offered me no severance package, time of notice , or help finding another job?
If I use them as references, what are they going to say?
If I dont use them, how do I account for the last 4 years?
Why!!
